Olive Software will be migrating to the Amazon Web Services cloud architecture over the course of November and December of 2016. This webinar provides a quick overview of the reasons, benefits, schedule and expected impacts of that migration.
In concert with the move to AWS, we are ending support for our legacy products, ODE/APD – Olive Digital Edition / Active Paper Daily, OMV – Olive Mobile Viewer, legacy versions of our archive product APA (Active Paper Archive prior to version 5.1) and OMA – Olive Mobile Archive.
This webinar provides details of this migration and the experience for migration of the legacy products to the new, go forward products
With the redesign and re-launch of The Denver Post’s Digital Replica Edition, Olive Software partnered with DP to produce a promotional walk through video that could be used both for reader familiarization as well as for marketing initiatives. Providing this video in advance of the re-launch, the DP audience was primed for using the new replica edition. We have found this to be a highly effective technique in transitioning sensitive audiences to new platforms with relatively minor investment.
If you are interested in providing this type of experience, Olive Software can help by providing strategic advice, guidance and referrals to develop your own video tutorial. Talk to your Olive Software sales representative for more information.
You knew it wouldn’t last forever. You expected the double-digit growth rates would taper off but you never anticipated your ebook sales would flatten out so quickly.
Is the ebook revolution over? Is this as good as it gets for ebooks? Or is there something you can do today to generate ebook revenue growth like you’ve seen in the past?
To help answer these questions Olive Software hosted a webinar showing how publishers can grow their top line and, at the same time, wrestle back control of their business.
Here are just a few of the topics covered:
* Why the market is flattening out
* What will drive future growth
* It’s not print or digital; it’s print and digital
* How indirect can help drive direct sales
* The tools and techniques you need to succeed
* How Olive can be your growth partner
Olive had the exceptional opportunity to sponsor the Audience Development pre-conference on Sunday and briefly present some of the insights we find through powering the eEdition of many of the top newspapers across the US. We also offered a little insight into how publishers might take advantage of the unique engagement dynamics of this often overlooked platform.
While we did get the chance to show the pre-conference attendees our insights around usage and where we feel there is a strategic opportunity for eEdition as a output channel… but we recognize we didn’t get a chance to connect with many of you at the show.
To amend that, on April 8th, 2015 we had a webinar to re-present that information and dive a little deeper into the opportunities the Olive platform can provide publishers with it’s Olive Dynamic Newsstand product and SmartLayers content enrichment tool.
Savas Beatie is an innovative publisher of military history books. In fact, they have the distinction of being the first publisher to release an ebook featuring the SmartLayers technology we’ve developed here at Olive Software. SmartLayers isn’t just for book publishers though; it’s a new service Olive is providing for newspapers and archives as well.
If you’d like to get a sense of what SmartLayers looks like, watch the video below. If you’d like to see how easy it is for a publisher to leverage SmartLayers, as well as learn why Savas Beatie chose SmartLayers for their premium ebook solution.
