- Enhanced Reading: Users can now zoom and pan pages to achieve a crystal-clear reading experience, and seamlessly transition from reading to flipping. It is still possible to open articles in a separate window as with the current APD.
- Rich media content and advertising: APD4 allows integration of rich media content and advertising to the daily newspaper. This increases application interactivity and end-user engagement.
- Improved Search: The new search function allows users to search current and back issues and read through the results quickly and easily.
- Improved Navigation: Enhanced table of contents and page thumbnail views allow direct access to content based on textual and visual cues.
- Built-in Analytics: Olive provides default integration with Google Analytics that tracks every user interaction with the content (page, article and ad views) or application actions (search, print and email). This feature can be further tailored to integrate with other web analytics packages.
