OLIVE SOFTWARE PROVIDES ESSENTIAL ePUBLISHING TRANSFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TO ISRAEL'S JUDICIAL AUTHORITY'S NATIONWIDE eFILING SYSTEM
Tel Aviv, Israel - November 7, 2011
- Olive Software's automated XML publishing system was selected as a
key component of the Israel Judicial Authority's new nationwide
e-Filing System- one of the world's largest end-to-end Microsoft-based
IT systems. The project's lead contractor, Ness Technologies,
integrated Olive's publishing platform with Microsoft, IBM, and other
support technologies to create a nationwide paperless court system
that supports more than 40 locations, 3,000 court system personnel,
and more than 16,000 attorneys throughout Israel.
Olive Software's system transforms 300,000
legal documents daily from TIFF, PDF, and MS Office files into XML,
which are then stored in a central repository. Being legal documents,
high conversion accuracy was mandatory- a requirement easily met by
Olive's advanced OCR and artificial intelligence software.
Although the overall project goal was to enable unified browser-based viewing across the Israel Judicial Authority's national network, a significant ancillary benefits have come from the Olive system's automated processing. Previously, more than 700 editors manually extracted metadata, classified, and checked-in documents. Now, the Olive system automatically extracts metadata, while electronically classifying and logging the documents.
Olive's value to the project: reduced costs, improved accuracy, higher throughput, and enhanced consistency.
