USA TODAY Announces New E-Edition and Weekend Extra
Improved Replica Edition of Newspaper Available August 3rd New Product Offers Regular Saturday Edition for USA TODAY Subscribers
McLean, Virginia, July 27, 2009 –USA TODAY, the nation´s top-selling newspaper, announces the availability of its new e-Edition product. Launching on Monday, August 3, the e-Edition is an exact replica version of USA TODAY featuring additional interactive and exclusive content. The e-Edition product will also include a Saturday-Sunday edition called USA TODAY EXTRA, the first-ever regular weekend product from USA TODAY, available only to print edition and e-Edition subscribers. USA TODAY´s e-Edition is a page-by-page, exact replica edition of the newspaper delivered by 5:30 a.m. ET. Subscribers will receive an email notification each morning alerting them to their e-Edition delivery. The e-Edition may be read online or downloaded for later use. The digital subscriptions will be provided as a companion to home and business subscribers of the print product. The e-Edition is also available as a digital subscription only. USA TODAY´s e-Edition will offer two introductory pricing structures: A 52-week digital subscription for $99; and an eight-week trial subscription for $9.95, which will renew to $9.95 every four weeks.
