ONLINE NEWS YOU CAN USE WITH THE WAUKESHA FREEMAN
DENVER, Colorado, 24 May 2006 - The Waukesha Freeman, a Southeast Wisconsin's newspaper (Conley Media) successfully gains online readers with its electronic edition powered by Olive Software.
Located in the technologically savvy suburbs of Milwaukee, The Waukesha Freeman is a small paper that posts big numbers. With a circulation of roughly twelve thousand subscribers, the publication gained over 2000 online readers (an average of 10 to 15 a day) by offering its patrons access to its electronic version. The newspaper's success is based largely on the ability to enhance its readers' experience.
Hays Goodman, webmaster for Conley Media, explained: "We attribute our success to several factors. Indeed, we are responding to the existing need among our subscribers to have access to the most current information, our afternoon edition with the digital version provides just that. Moreover, electronic version is free to print subscribers, something our competition doesn't offer. Finally, e-edition allows us to include additional pages that did not make it into the newspaper, while still producing an ABC compliant product."
Olive is proud to provide technological solutions that yield such impressive results. Kim Dail, VP Marketing Olive Software, commented on the newspaper's achievements: "We are pleased that Conley Media is strongly considering putting additional titles in Olive, in light of the Freeman's success. We understand that considerable thought went into the vendor selection process, and Olive's stability as a company was paramount during the decision making process. Our team takes great pride in the success of our customers around the world and the reliability of our company's solutions."
The Waukesha Freeman is among the numerous successful publishers across the world achieving great results with Olive's product line, including The Financial Times, Journal Register, Lakeway Publishers, Time Inc., Chicago Sun-Times, Pioneer Newspapers, and the Oklahoman to name a few.
