Press Release
INLANDER GOES DIGITAL WITH THE LAUNCH OF AN ELECTRONIC EDITION - THE "E-INLANDER".
DENVER, Colorado, January 23, 2006 - The Inland Press Association, a non-profit organization well known and respected for its newspaper industry research and its continuing education programs for newspaper departments has gone digital.
"Our primary motivation for launching E-Inlander was to accommodate readers that prefer receiving an electronic copy," said Randy Craig, Inland's publications director. He added: "We are in the business of delivering practical knowledge for improving newspapers, and Olive's interactive features such as article clipping, print function, and archive capabilities provide a sophisticated alternative to a simple PDF that we have employed in the past. Furthermore, launching an electronic edition was a part of our overall strategy to continually create an array of services for existing members. Coupled with more traditional methods of communications such as direct mailing pieces, website postings and stories in print, the electronic edition has become a new medium for delivering information on the newspaper industry."
E-Inlander launched in January of 2006 and is currently available to all association members.
"The Inland Press Association is a perfect candidate for Olive's multiple services," stated Kim Dail, Vice President of Marketing for Olive Software. She continued by saying:" Considering the diverse geographical locations of its members, the need and ability to access relative information on demand 24/7, and the longevity of the information that the association compiles, Olive is proud to be the solution of choice by providing Inland Press with both electronic edition and archive capabilities. Both companies are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship."
E-Inlander became one of the newest additions to the ever growing list of Olive's customers, among which are the Washington Post, Chicago Sun-Times, Dayton Daily News, Navarre Press, Pioneer Newspapers, Lakeway Publishers, Kenosha News and many more.
Olive's Platform currently includes the following products and services: Electronic Edition, Archive module, AdPortal, Tearsheet module, TimeTraveler and Pipex Digitization.
