OLIVE SOFTWARE AND REED BUSINESS INFORMATION (RBI) ENTER MULTI-YEAR ePUBLISHING AGREEMENT
DENVER, Colorado, June 10, 2004 - Olive Software, Inc., a global leader in content management, ePublishing and archiving technologies, and Reed Business Information (RBI), the leading provider of business-to-business publications and a member of the Reed Elsevier Group plc. (NYSE: RUK and ENL), today announced a multi-year ePublishing agreement. The initial agreement includes licensing for 55 publications.
RBI will take advantage of Olive’s innovative and patented ActiveMagazine™ XML-based enterprise content management platform. The ECM platform provides multiple solutions from a single workflow and central data repository. The ActiveMagazine™ software digitally delivers publications via the Web for both online and offline reading - preserving the original magazine layout in a fast loading Web-based format. The inclusion of Olive’s rich media tools open new revenue streams. This powerful alternative to slow-loading PDF editions that require problematic PDF readers allows publishers to increase profits through lower distribution and production costs while switching subscribers from print to e-ditions.
