Really Simple Sydication (RSS) is an open-source standard for syndicating information via the internet. It's like having a news-wire style feed that you customize by choosing the sources and types of information that it displays. Typically, you can view RSS feeds by using an RSS news aggregator/reader, either a stand alone program or one that is part of your web browser (or an add-on extension to it).
