Application Engineer – Professional Services

Job Description
Our Professional Services team is looking for a talented professional to join us in creating leading-edge, enterprise-wide solutions for some of the worlds leading companies. The Professional Services team is a group of highly skilled professionals who provide consulting services through design and implementation of end-to-end business solutions.
The Application Engineer will be responsible for support, design and implementation of Olive's suite of applications for customers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who works well in a fast-paced and challenging environment, and has application design and development experience for the content management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to scope, develop, implement, train, and support project deliverables
- Proven ability to meet application development deadlines
- Ability to provide detailed technical documentation
- Help management plan and estimate projects
- Develop solutions for customers using implementations of our standard products and custom development as required
- Resolve product problems through rigorous support analysis sessions.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Willingness to Travel around 40%
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of industry experience preferably in content management, with a record of successful completion of products and introduction into the marketplace. Should have completed at least two projects from inception through production.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3-5 years Application Engineering experience.
- Excellent service level supporting customers over the phone and in person
- Excellent knowledge in Windows 2000, XP, 2000/2003 Server, IIS, Adobe Acrobat versions 5, 6 and 7, HTML, XML, CSS, JSP/ASP, Java/.NET.
- A solid understanding of graphic file formats and applications.
- Programming knowledge in Jscript, Javascript, HTML, SOAP
- XML/XSL development with understanding of DTDs, Schemas, and namespaces
- Understand parsing to include SAX and DOM
- Macromedia Flash programming knowledge is a plus
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures as well as governmental regulations
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills a must
- Self motivated
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS/CS/EE or equivalent experience, graduate degree a plus
